In 2021, there were moments of some uncertainty due to the pandemic, but it was essential to activate the brand of the newly installed product, as well as start training municipal tourism teams to be an active part in the boosting of the local tourism.

36 municipalities participated and the event also had four tourism seminars with international speakers, an international famtrip with five tour operators, a sales workshop with local tour operators and an international presstrip with five journalists specialized in hiking, having been a huge success, widely recognized .

Bashir Daoud, JordanTrail representative of the Kingdom of Jordan Tourism, was an international guest.

There were 493 registered via the website and around 200 registered directly by the municipalities, totaling 693 participants. Posts on social media had a reach of 370,000 people.

In 2023 the festival underwent some changes with a reduction in the number of seminars for two events, changing the famtrip from international to national.
Municipal participation increased to the presence of 43 municipalities, including the municipality of Olivenza from Extremadura (Spain) and three Parish Councils in Alentejo.

There were no invitations or participation from the private or associative sector.

A national famtrip was held with seven tour operators and a sales workshop with local operation. There was no international presstrip or famtrip. There were no international guests.

There were 795 people registered on the website in the Portuguese version, 22 registered in the Spanish version (many Spaniards registered in the Portuguese version) and 9 registered in the English version, for a total of 826 registered, with an estimated participation of over 200 people in direct registrations of municipalities in a total of 1026 participants.
